Widget overview
The UserJot widget is a complete in-app surface for your product. It puts feedback, your roadmap, product updates, and direct messages behind a single launcher on your site.
The API documented in this collection is stable. New capabilities are added over time, but methods are not renamed and do not change how they behave, so you can build on it without worrying about breaking changes.
What the widget includes
Home: a starting point that surfaces what matters to the current user.
Feedback: browse, search, vote, and submit feedback without leaving your app.
Roadmap: see what is planned and in progress.
Updates: read your changelog, with an unread indicator on the launcher.
Messages: direct conversations between your users and your team. This surface appears once Conversations is enabled in your workspace settings.
Notifications: activity on posts the user follows.
Feedback and moderation
Feedback submitted through the widget follows your workspace's moderation settings. A receipt confirms that the feedback was saved; it may still need checking or approval before it appears on the public board.
Your team can review it in the dashboard. See moderate content for the available settings and review actions.
What you can build with it
The widget works with a single copy-paste install, but the SDK gives you full programmatic control:
Open any section of the widget from your own UI with open().
Replace the default launcher with your own button, including a live unread badge.
Identify signed-in users, with optional signed identity using a JWT from your server.
React to widget events like open, close, and new unread activity.
Embed full pages inline instead of using the floating widget.
Recommended path
Install the widget. This takes a few minutes.
Identify your users so feedback and messages are tied to real accounts.
Set up signed identity when you are ready to verify users server-side.
Use programmatic control and embeds to go deeper.
The full API is documented in the SDK reference.
