Swift SDK overview
The UserJot Swift SDK lets you bring feedback collection and roadmap visibility directly into your iOS or macOS app.
At a high level, the SDK gives you two things:
native presentation helpers for feedback, the roadmap, and updates
user identification so UserJot activity can stay tied to the right user
What the Swift SDK is for
Use the Swift SDK when you want UserJot to feel like part of your app rather than a separate website.
Common uses:
add a native feedback entry point inside your app
show the roadmap from app settings or help screens
identify signed-in users before they send feedback
keep presentation logic simple in SwiftUI or UIKit
What it includes
The current Swift SDK supports:
project setup with
UserJot.setup(projectId:)user identification with
UserJot.identify(...)feedback presentation with
UserJot.showFeedback(), for all boards or one boardroadmap presentation with
UserJot.showRoadmap()updates presentation with
UserJot.showUpdates()a SwiftUI
.userJotFeedback(...)modifier on iOScustom URLs if you want to handle presentation yourself
Platforms and requirements
The SDK currently targets:
iOS 15.0+
macOS 12.0+
Swift 6.1+
Xcode 16.3+
The current public package is still in beta, so you should expect some API evolution before a 1.0 release.
Recommended integration path
For most teams, the cleanest path is:
Install the package with Swift Package Manager.
Call
UserJot.setup(projectId:)once during app startup.Identify the current user when your app session becomes available.
Present feedback, the roadmap, or updates from the parts of the app where they make sense.
How to think about the SDK
Use the built-in presentation methods if you want the fastest path to an in-app UserJot experience.
Use the custom URL methods if you want to present the experience in your own WebView or app container.
