An option to display username instead of First name and Last name

I was thinking it would be part of the onboarding process when they sign up, but having granular control for all users would be nice as well. I think the important is having that option and showing that option from the start that you can display nicknames only. In our use case, we will be mainly using it for a gaming community/mod feedback/etc. so we don't need to know their real full names. Having the real names shown as default immediately after signing up might just add friction from users providing feedback. We know them by player names as well and would be weird to identify who was providing feedback if real names are displayed.
